Forest Park
Forest Hills Memorial Gardens
Give NowA Brief History
In 1953 the property where Forest Hills sits was a cattle farm owned by the Mason family.
The need for cemetery property on the southeast side of metro Atlanta provided the opportunity to turn that cattle farm into a memorial gardens.
At one point, families from all walks of life, elite and not so elite, chose Forest Hills, with over 500 burials a year.
Today the memorial park struggles because of the cremation rate, and provides only about 225 burials a year.
